Asian voices resisting tides of racism
While rates of infection remain low, stop by the Museum of Chinese in America in Manhattan's Chinatown, which recently reopened after a disastrous fire at their storage facility nearby. The exhibit of note is titled "Responses: Asian American Voices Resisting the Tides of Racism", featuring recent videos, posters, and other artifacts of the tumultuous past couple of years, and a series of hand-written pages in English and Chinese documenting random and definitely-not-random acts of violence and anti-Asian legislation over the past 200+ years. Different people wrote each of the sheets on display, making it an intimate and participatory act of retelling history.
