Incidences about race, isolated or not, might have occurred in Hastings, which might have caused certain persons-of-color to leave Hastings. A possible portrayal of declaring Hastings as a racist town is inaccurate. Some of us still live in Hastings, and regardless we love our town. Nowhere is perfect. We will continue working collegially and collaboratively :).
