Mask Mandates Still in Place.
Please be advised that, as of late last night, the New York State Department of Health has filed an appeal of the ruling out of Nassau County. By law, when a governmental agency appeals a ruling, an automatic stay is granted.
Accordingly, the requirements to wear masks in schools pursuant to the previous regulations and orders are to be followed until there is a final ruling on the appeal.
To repeat, all staff and students are required to wear masks. No change to policy or procedure.
